Hang Out Sessions

Our organiation sends volunteers and their therapy dogs to local schools every week to work with selected children who need support in improving their mental and emotional well-being.

The children are chosen by the school and their parents to have the opportunity of a weekly hang-out with their new furry friend.

During the sessions, the child is given a safe space to talk about their week and develop a special bond with our dogs. One of the most popular activities during these sessions is reading stories to the dogs.

Currently, Swansea University is conducting an impact study on our sessions to ensure that we are providing the best possible care for both the children and dogs involved.
